Spoon Soup #2

Happy Saturday!

If you are feeling ‘happy’ this morning, it may interest you to know that the this is what happiness actually looks like:

~Myosin Protien ~A protein myosin drags a ball of endorphins along the inner part of the brain’s parietal cortex~

What are some fun things that make me happy? Well, let me take you on a tour around the weird little ‘me’ that is my ‘mind:

For one, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Myers Briggs Personality Types! Based on the works of Carl Jung, there are 16 basic personality types that people fall into. When I discovered this, it was like a light turning on in a dark room. I not only discovered my own personality type, but I ‘collected’ the personality types of as many people in my circle that I could. It was a breath of fresh air to understand WHY people reacted/coped/thought the way they did. For me, it’s invaluable in my interpersonal relationships to take the time to really KNOW people. It has helped me in conflict, in advice giving for careers both for myself and others, in being effectively compassionate with others, ect.

I myself am an INFP. A quick description of an INFP ~

creative, smart, idealist, loner, attracted to sad things, disorganized, avoidant, can be overwhelmed by unpleasant feelings, prone to quitting, prone to feelings of loneliness, ambivalent of the rules, solitary, daydreams about people to maintain a sense of closeness, focus on fantasies, acts without planning, low self confidence, emotionally moody, can feel defective, prone to lateness, likes esoteric things, wounded at the core, feels shame, frequently losing things, prone to sadness, prone to dreaming about a rescuer, disorderly, observer, easily distracted, does not like crowds, can act without thinking, private, can feel uncomfortable around others, familiar with the dark side, hermit, more likely to support marijuana legalization, can sabotage self, likes the rain, sometimes can’t control fearful thoughts, prone to crying, prone to regret, attracted to the counter culture, can be submissive, prone to feeling discouraged, frequently second guesses self, not punctual, not always prepared, can feel victimized, prone to confusion, prone to irresponsibility, can be pessimistic ~ from ‘Similar Minds’

INFP ~ Sensitive? Who, me?

Want to find YOUR Myers Briggs Personality Type? I think you’ll be astounded at how accurate it is, and it may help you stop comparing yourself to others. You just may like who you were made to be, possibly for the first time ever!

Take the free test here, and then pop around the different pages with your personality type to discover more about yourself! Enjoy!

I love the Myers Briggs personality types testing. When I took it it was a revelation. I finally “got” myself. I understood why I was different and why I don’t have a whole lot of close relationships. The world opened up, the heaven’s sang. I am an INFJ, the rarest type, there are less than 2% of us in the world. Go figure, right? LOL Although there are parts that I wish I could change, knowing that this is part of what makes me is freeing and now that I’m aware of the why I can work to strengthen those areas!

OH WOW! That’s so cool! My husband and oldest son are both INFJ’s! In fact INFJ’s and INFP’s are very similar and often get confused as one with the other. One of main differences is, INFJ’s actually ‘absorb’ the emotions of those around them in ‘real’ time (when they are in same room), whereas INFP’s will ‘imagine’ what the other person is feeling, then be in the emotion with them in that way. LOVE the study of personalities!! Well met my fellow ‘INF’ !!♥♥♥

The video is so interesting to watch. It’s literally happiness walking. So impressive!

I’m interested in doing the test, but it says $5 per test. Is there a way to get the free test?

Here you go Brandi, I took it again to test it (I’ve probably taken MB about 6 x’s and always get the SAME result ~ INFP), and it seems accurate!

Hey Kristine! I love the Myers Briggs Personality test as well. I think it helps employers and people in general appreciate how different traits can be strengthening even though they might not always be likable by all.

Hi there, Kristine. I had heard of this test before but hadn’t thought much of it. This is a good way to encourage me & others to give it a try.
