Self-Care Sunday 2/19/2017

Milestones & Meditations…

Did this week FLY by for anyone else? Man, time seems to be picking up speed! It really is true that the older you get the faster the days, months, and years go by.

It’s weird to think that the amount of time I have left in this life is shorter than the amount of years I have been here. I’m turning 50 in a couple of weeks, so of course this has put me in a bit of a contemplative mood.

Know what?…I’m thrilled! I’ve never been one to wish I could go back to ‘such and such’ a time. Life is hard enough. Why in the world would I want to go back and do anything ‘over’ again?!?

So, considering I am about to reach a big milestone, and being the lover of symbolism that I am….I GOT A TATTOO! I’ve been kickin’ this idea around in my head for years, and it was finally the perfect time to go for it. So, here it is:

~

I took this pic the day it was done, so the underside of my arm is a little swollen, red, and angry. But, you get the idea. Really happy with the way it turned out.

Anyone else with tattoos out there they would like to share? Send me a pic, and I will feature it on next weeks Self-Care Sunday!

What did your ‘self-care’ consist of this week? Remember, it can be anything that benefits you! Share with all of us here in the chronic community what works for you. It can be: a product you make & sell, an Etsy shop, a hobby, a relaxation technique, a trip you took, a recipe you’d like to share, ect.!

Send me an email: kristine@alifewellred.com, or share below in the comment section. Photos are most welcome, but definitely NOT necessary! I will include/promote what you send to me on next week’s ‘Self-Care’ Sunday post. Let’s all share the ♥ and help each other out!…(now that’s a little bit of self-care right there!)

Awesome tattoo! I agree with you about time flying by. I just turned 47 a few weeks ago and it seems time goes by faster with each passing year. I am so grateful every year that I have been given another year when so many have had lives cut short. I hope your big 5-0 is absolutely awesome!

I had been thinking about using a tattoo to cover my surgical scars on my back….but my teenagers have forbidden me! Isn’t that the wrong way round?? Great post as always Kristine – thanks for sharing on the #Chronic Pain & chronic illness link up party on The Unbroken Smile.
