What is Chronic FridayLinkup?

Chronic Friday Linkup is a place for chronic illness bloggers to share their personal stories, inspiring messages, product reviews, or informative articles about chronic illness.

What is the purpose of the linkup?

The purpose of this linkup is for chronic illness thrivers to help, encourage and support one another on our journey to healing. Chronic illness varies from person to person, but we all have the same end goal: to not feel alone and thrive in our lives.

I am the writer and creator at Being Fibro Mom and My Fibro Journal. I am a follower of Christ, wife to a supportive husband, mother to four sweet children, and fibromyalgia thriver. Being Fibro Mom was created in 2013 in the hopes of helping fibromyalgia sufferers become fibromyalgia thrivers. My mission is to change the mantra “you don’t look sick” and replace it with knowledge, understanding, compassion, and healing.

Hello! I’m Kristine (Red) of: ‘A Life Well Red’.

In December of 2014 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS). It was during this time the true genesis of ‘A Life Well Red’ was formed.

I discovered millions of people living with and suffering through what are called: ‘invisible’ chronic illnesses’. These diseases go widely unrecognized and unacknowledged, because we don’t ‘look’ sick. However, they are anything but invisible to us and the ones we love.

It is my goal to continue to bring legitimacy and understanding to these conditions that affect tens of millions of people all around the world. With a focus on; educating with facts, healthy living, and (hopefully) humor, I invite you to come along with me, as we strive to find beauty & grace in living this life with ‘invisible’ chronic illness.

Hello ALL; I would like to add to the piece on “Vertigo due to Dislodged Crystals”. I, too, had issues with this for past 12+ months and couldn’t understand how/why this was happening, as I did not realize it was another symptom of Fibro; but thought it was due to either 1) a concussion that I may have received (as suggested by my physio and GP). I did do some research, and found that it can be a complication of “Auto-immune Conditions”, so then started to ask more. My usual Physion tried to Re-arrange the crystals, but unsuccessful. She referred me to an Ivestigative Physio Specialist, who worked wonders. All was resolved in one session. I did get advised to do some “exercises” to keep problem, and are actually a lot easier than those listed above (those listed above were what the original physio tried without the success). Hence, if anyone is having issues with Vertigo, then I suggest that you find a Physio Specialist with experience in these issues, and I am sure you will be as happy as I am, now. No more falls/loss of balance etc.
